Style & Function Cabinet Refacing
Before

Dated cabinet fronts, shallow drawers, hard-to-reach upper doors, and a narrow pantry were making this kitchen harder to use than it needed to be. For this project, we refaced the cabinets in a white Shaker style and made several custom updates to improve everyday storage. We extended the refrigerator cabinet for a more finished look, added pull-out drawers inside the pantry, tucked the trash bin into a pull-out drawer, and converted shallow drawers into deeper, more practical storage.
Project Updates
- White Shaker-style cabinet refacing
- Refrigerator cabinet extension
- Pantry pull-out drawers
- Pull-out trash drawer
- Deeper drawer conversion
- Upper cabinet doors extended to the ceiling

Storage-Focused Cabinet Refacing with Cabinet Extensions
Before

This kitchen already had a great layout, but the uneven cabinet heights and unused space above the cabinets made the room feel unfinished. The island also had ornate detailing that no longer matched the cleaner look the clients wanted. At Cabinet Cures of The Triangle, we built onto the existing cabinet boxes to extend them to the ceiling, refaced the cabinets in a bright white finish, and updated the island with simple Shaker-style panels.
Project Updates
- Cabinets extended to the ceiling
- Existing cabinet boxes refaced
- Bright white cabinet finish
- Updated kitchen island
- Shaker-style doors and panels
- Added upper storage space

Modern Luxury Kitchen Cabinet Refacing
Before

The original honey oak cabinets gave this kitchen a builder-grade look that no longer fit the style of the home. Instead of replacing the full cabinet system, we completed a full cabinet refacing project and added details that made the kitchen feel more polished. We installed new hardware and pulls, added crown molding along the top of the cabinets, modified the cabinet area under the window for a wine fridge, and adjusted nearby storage for a cleaner, more useful layout.
Project Updates
- Full cabinet refacing
- Contemporary cabinet finish
- New hardware and pulls
- Crown molding added
- Wine fridge cabinet modification
- Improved storage near the stove

Cozy Kitchen with More Storage
Before

In this smaller kitchen, the goal was to add storage and brighten the room without taking away its cozy feel. The darker cabinets made the space feel tighter, and a few areas had room to work harder. We refaced the cabinets in white, extended the cabinetry upward, added a built-in pantry, created a roll-out spice rack, updated the refrigerator cabinet, and added pull-out features that made the kitchen easier to use.
Project Updates
- White cabinet refacing
- Built-in pantry
- Roll-out spice rack
- Cabinet extension toward the ceiling
- Larger cabinet above the refrigerator
- Pull-out cutting board drawer
- Pull-out trash drawer
- Doors added to open shelving

Multi-Room Cabinet Refacing and Custom Cabinet Updates
Before

This project went beyond the kitchen. The cabinetry throughout the home felt disconnected from room to room, and some spaces were not being used as well as they could be. At Cabinet Cures of The Triangle, we refaced cabinets in the kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room, desk area, and living room built-ins to create a more consistent look throughout the home. We also added topper cabinets, decorative panels, a desk-to-drawer conversion, and a custom wine rack for the living room cabinetry.
Project Updates
- Kitchen cabinet refacing
- Bathroom cabinet refacing
- Laundry room cabinet updates
- Desk area cabinet modifications
- Topper cabinets added
- Custom wine rack
- Decorative cabinet panels
- More cohesive whole-home design

Modern Kitchen Cabinet Refacing
Before

Dark cabinets made this kitchen feel more closed in than it needed to, even though the cabinet frames and island were still in good condition. Since the existing layout still worked, we refaced the cabinets and island instead of replacing them. The updated finish created a brighter, more contemporary look and helped the island feel more intentional as both a focal point and a functional part of the kitchen.
Project Updates
- Full kitchen cabinet refacing
- Island refacing
- Updated cabinet doors and drawer fronts
- New molding and hardware
- Brighter, more open kitchen design
- Existing cabinet boxes preserved

Slim Shaker Cabinet Refacing
Before

The kitchen cabinets in this home felt out of step with the contemporary design used throughout the rest of the house. For this project, we refaced the existing kitchen cabinets with a slim Shaker door style to create a cleaner, more current look without requiring brand-new custom cabinets. We also refaced the laundry room cabinets so the updated style continued beyond the kitchen.
Project Updates
- Slim Shaker-style cabinet doors
- Kitchen cabinet refacing
- Laundry room cabinet refacing
- Contemporary cabinet design
- Existing cabinets updated without full replacement

Two-Colored Cabinet Refacing Project
Before

For this project, the kitchen needed more than a new cabinet color. The layout had underused storage opportunities, and the nearby bathroom needed to feel connected to the updated kitchen design. We refaced the kitchen cabinets with a two-color finish, removed the pantry door to create a built-in pantry, and refaced the bathroom cabinets to tie both spaces together.
Project Updates
- Two-colored cabinet design
- Kitchen cabinet refacing
- New cabinet pantry
- Bathroom cabinet refacing
- Contemporary accents
- Added storage space
- Coordinated kitchen and bathroom design

White, Clean Cabinet Refacing Project
Before

The white subway tile was already working in this kitchen, but the darker cabinet finishes were pulling the room in a different direction. We refaced the wall cabinets and island in white so the cabinetry felt like it belonged with the backsplash, not like it was competing with it. The black hardware added a bit of contrast to the finished kitchen and kept the white cabinets from feeling too plain.
Project Updates
- White cabinet refacing
- Island refacing
- Existing white subway tile is incorporated into the design
- Black cabinet hardware
- Brighter kitchen appearance
- More consistent design from top to bottom

White Polished Kitchen Cabinet Refacing
Before

These builder-grade cabinets looked dated, uneven, and unfinished in several areas. At Cabinet Cures of The Triangle, we refaced the wall cabinets and kitchen island, enclosed the open shelves, added crown molding, replaced the kickplate molding with white molding, and finished the space with modern cabinet handles and drawer pulls. The result is a cleaner, more polished kitchen that feels much more complete.
Project Updates
- Full cabinet refacing
- Kitchen island refacing
- Open shelves enclosed
- Crown molding added
- White kickplate molding installed
- Modern cabinet handles and pulls
- Brighter, more cohesive kitchen design

How Cabinet Refacing Works
Cabinet refacing updates the visible parts of your cabinetry while keeping the existing cabinet boxes in place. At Cabinet Cures of The Triangle, we remove the old doors, drawer fronts, molding, and hardware, then install new doors, drawer fronts, finished wood panels, molding, hinges, and hardware to give the cabinets a new look.
Since the cabinet boxes stay where they are, there is usually less disruption than a full tear-out and replacement. It works well when the layout still makes sense for your home, but the cabinets themselves need a new look. That can include kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, laundry room cabinets, islands, and built-in storage.
